Compostable and biodegradable are two terms that, often and erroneously, are confused. Let’s be clear: a product is defined as compostable if, as the word itself suggests, it becomes compost when it enters, for a certain period, in contact with elements rich in nutrients or fertilizers.

A biodegradable article decomposes completely because of a bacterial action. The material of which it is composed is divided into elements that are already present in nature, therefore with almost zero environmental impact.
Our bags are both biodegradable and compostable and comply with the criteria defined by the UNI EN 13432: 2002 standard!
BIO-BASED
The materials used are of vegetable origin, corn starch and vegetable oils, so they are not produced using traditional plastic, even if our products reproduce their appearance and maintain the main characteristics.

Strong and performing
Can an envelope produced without plastic be equally strong?
Our compostable bags have a strength very similar to that guaranteed by bags made of traditional plastic: the use of certified granules, without the addition of other resins and additives, determines a higher quality of the finished product, easily verifiable by comparing a PG Plast shopper to the most common products on the market.
The polymers used to produce biodegradable and compostable plastic films, ensure full compliance with the trading limits of sacks and bags imposed by national legislation.
Ok Compost Certificate
Our products are certified with the OK compost Industrial mark issued by TUV Austria, a mark that guarantees their full biodegradability in industrial composting plants. The certification obtained considered all the components, inks and additives used in the production cycles.
The reference point for the certification program is the standard defined by the harmonized standard EN 13432: 2000 and any product with the OK compost logo complies with the established requirements of the European Packaging Directive (94/62 / EEC).
